Exporting blog

  • I’m trying to export the blog pages from WordPress to a website created in NetObjects Fusion 7.5. Is that even possible?
    Thanks,
    Maryna 🙂

    Hi,

    Refer this article:

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

    Thanks, Shane.
I read about the export feature in xml … is there a way I can export in a different format. Would you believe it… Netobjects cannot import xml files 🙁
    What now?

you have the ability to export your posts through wordpress.
you have the ability to export your posts through phpmyadmin, which give you several formatting choices. Look in phpmyadmin, on the export page, and you will see those.

if none of those suffice, maybe you need to ask someone more familiar with the system you are attempting to migrate to.

    Geezh, thanks 🙂
On my export page I only see the following:
When you click the button below WordPress will create an
blah blah…. to import this blog.
    Options
Restrict Author As well as a “Download export file” button.

I don’t know where to get the phpmyadmin options….
    Please advise.

    Thanks for you help.

does your host have a control panel? phpmyadmin would usually be accessible from there.

This is getting more complicated 🙁
    I don’t host this particular website…..
A friend asked me to take over his website, it’s hosted with Godaddy.
I’ve built a new website in Netobjects Fusion – but now he wants to have his blog (created in WordPress) to be updated in the new website.
Do you think this can be done?
    Thanks for your help,
    Maryna 🙂

I dont care who’s hosting, your is you, because youre asking the questions.

    it’s hosted with Godaddy.

    http://how.best-free-information.com/2009/07/how-to-move-a-wordpress-blog-from-godaddy-to-hostgator/

this explains how to export content from godaddy, or to at least get to the page in the control panel where you can do so.

    so I understand..

you created a page or pages, in a wysiwg editor, and you want to import them? copy and paste would have been easier at this point dont you think?

a simple shell script that does a recusrsive wget? easier.

Do you think this can be done?

    moving on…

    Now I’m completely lost 🙁
I’ll try again tomorrow – thanks for trying.

I originally thought it would be easier to just copy and paste – as a matter of fact, I’ve done most of the copying and pasting – BUT what about the little comment tag that visitors can click on and write comments on (doesn’t that post directly back to the website)
I have no idea how blogging is working. My friend is doing blogging on his current website and has asked me to take over his website and improve it….
    I don’t know if I can do it… 🙁
    Thanks for your hlep.
