    Hello,
    I have a customer site which needs to be shut down. But the connections plugin needs to be setup on a new site with all existing data.
    So I exported all possible data from the old site: adresses, phone numbers, email adresses, data, categories and the all export (all as csv). Also I exported the settings (this as json).
    On the import side, I see only 2 import options: categories and the settings.
    Importing catgories doesn’t do any thing (no message after click on import and no imported categories). No idea what happened with the settings, as no data is imported…
    Am I doing something wrong? How can I transfer the data from one site to the other?

    To bulk import directory entries, you will need the CSV Import addon. Here’s the link:

    What file are you trying to import? Does absolutely nothing happen after clicking the button, or are you presented with a mapping column step?

    RE: No idea what happened with the settings, as no data is imported…

    It sounds like perhaps another plugin is not limiting its javascript files to its own admin pages and is causing fatal javascript errors on the Connections admin pages.

    Load the page in Chrome or the new Edge browser, hit the F12 key, and then click the Console tab.

    Are there any errors listed? If so, what are they? One suggestion, temporarily deactivate all plugins except Connections and any related add-ons and then try the import.

    Thank you for your quick response. With the extension for import, it worked 😉
    But still old and new do not look the same..
    Probably the templates are not the same, but I would expect the templates to be copied?

    1) A filter for the category and a search field
    2) an image/photo for each entry

    The same template is being used on both sites, the Default Card template. The difference is the style differences being inherited from the theme, which is different on each site.

    I do not see this on either site. The category filter and keyword search seem like on one site, you have a premium template installed and activated. If that is the case, I do not see it activate on either site; both sites are using the Default Card template to display the directory.

    I was a bit busy with other stuff… sorry..

    Anyways, I have bought a premium template from your portfolio (Tile Plus). I am just wondering where I can adjust the display of the cards with the shortcode (for example have 1 column instead of 3).

    The number of tiles per column depends on the theme’s content width and the device the page is being viewed on. If you are looking while on a mobile device, you will likely see only a single column. When I view the page on my desktop top, I see three columns.

    It would have been nice to have the ability to control that manually. In this case it is a desktop display and it has three columns as you say. But the content overlaps some other content within the tiles as they are very tight and small. Would be nice to have them bigger in minimum 2 columns as well (just look at it, it doesn’t really look nice).

    You can control the tile width/hieght. Please see this FAQ for the template:

    Hi Steven,

    It does not, as the width can only be given in px and not in %. Also the value is fixed regardless the device/browser width :-/

    Correct, the width/height of the tiles in this template are fixed in px. Increasing either dimension will increase the size, decreasing the value in either dimension will decrease the size. The number of tiles per row will depend on the theme’s content width and the device/browser window size and how the theme changes the page content width. The number of columns will change based on the tile width and the theme page content width. Hope this makes sense and helps!

    Hi Steven,
    Sorry but in my opinion options like card-per-row = 1 or card-with=100% are missing (which should override your column settings).
    Anyways, I have now overwritten the CSS manually, I was just hoping to find a setting in your plugin for that.
