Expert Adivce for a Wp-content problem

  • I have my site setup as normal with Chmod 755 for wp-content etc.. The thing is that all my files even supposedly hidden (I thought) are coming up in the search recults. giving me like 12 pages instead of 2!

I have done some searching, I “tried” a htaccess mod to
    as described by this guy/gal
    http://blogsecurity.net/wordpress/article-210607
    …..and well……
I locked the site alright!!! locked me out of my own site and everyone else too. 🙂

This is what I did do. created a robots.txt at the root that says
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-admin
    Disallow: /wp-includes
    Disallow: /wp-content/plugins
    Disallow: /wp-content/cache
    Disallow: /wp-content/themes
    Disallow: /wp-content/uploads

So this is what I need. I want to lock my wp-content from indexing and from visits and crawling. but I still want the stuff on my site to load, photo, mp3 preview etc.

    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    John
