Experience of using and own modifications
-
Our company has been using Tickera for several months. We organize concerts on river ships and sell tickets for them. Before that, for many years we used third-party software for booking tickets. Now we decided to use own software.
We liked Tickera – it’s a complex and well-thought-out software, consisting of a set of plugins. It is clear that a lot of work has gone into it. The main advantage of Tickera over platform software is the freedom of use and the absence of additional costs. But there is always something to work on.
Two features, critical important for us, are not implemented or are inconvenient in Tickera.
1) Analytics. It is always important for us to know how many tickets were sold for each events (sometimes 10 in day).
2) Possibility of deep copying of events. So that when you create a new event, a new seating chart and a new set of tickets (related with this seating chart) are created for this event. I think this opportunity is important for everyone who organizes events in one place with several categories of tickets.Tickera support responded for our questions quite quickly. For example, we were not immediately able to set up a ticket attachment for letters to customers. There is a non-obvious solution how to make it so that the client does not have to enter his mail several times for each ticket, if there are several of them in one order. Support helped us with this.
But, support unable to help us with our main two questions. Therefore, we made our own two plugins that solved these problems. I thought that these plugins would be of interest to many other Tickera users as well. First plugin for analytics we have already uploaded to the repository: “Analytics for Tickera”. The second plugin for deep copying events is still being tested. If you need it, write to developer of analytics plugin.Despite the shortcomings, I give the Tickera five stars and want to say very much thank to its authors!
