    Hello,

    Please excuse me if I am not accurate enough… I’m beginning.
    This is about my first steps while trying to build my first website with WordPress… (I hope I’m on the right forum).

    WordPress was installed with success.
    Then, I installed a new theme, a Catch base one.
    After a few clicks and trials to discover the interface, the following message appeared on the top of my site page and other active windows on the dashboard :

    ‘Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in /home/clients/…../web/wp-content/themes/catch-base/inc/catchbase-core.php on line 1488’

    It is perennial and I guess it won’t disappear magically…
    I don’t know if it appeared because of something I did wrong.

    Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Cheers.

    Matthieu

  • Hey there leucospis,

    Hope you’re well! 🙂

    After a few clicks and trials to discover the interface

    Can you tell me what are these clicks you did? Something more specific so I can help you better.

    Did you hack the theme by all means?

    Looking forward for your reply! 🙂

    Best Regards,

    Hi Calvin,

    Thanks for your reply. I’m very fine. Hope you too.

    Before it happened I went into the “appearence” menu, in “Personnalize” and “Menus”. I went also on the “Edit” page but didn’t change anything. I just looked at these pages, mainly. I guess the only things I modified were site title and description.

    Here is the line 1488 (and 1489) of the catchbase-core code as it was after the warning message appeared (I can’t tell if something changed here… even if I delete the catchbase-core.php file, using Filezilla interface, and download again the theme, the problem persists) :

    ‘if ( !in_array( ‘0’, $cats ) ) {
    if( $query->is_main_query() && $query->is_home() ) {‘

    Best regards,

    Matthieu

    Hey there leucospis,

    Hope you’re well today! 🙂

    Try changing the homepage for a start and see if the error still there. Also try to check “inc/catchbase-default-options.php” in line 56 if this is the code:

    'front_page_category'								=> array(),

    Looking forward for your reply! 🙂

    Take care,
    Calvin
