 * Is there any way to execute PHP inside of a reusable text block?
 * Thanks for this great plugin,
    Mark

 * You’ll need to create a custom template. Check out this Help Guide: [https://halgatewood.com/docs/plugins/reusable-text-blocks/creating-custom-templates-and-passing-variables](https://halgatewood.com/docs/plugins/reusable-text-blocks/creating-custom-templates-and-passing-variables)

 * Aha, I had seen that before but I didn’t think of how to use it in this way.
   So this would allow me to execute php in the template, but it would not allow
   me to execute php that is in the block itself. I.e. to write php into the text
   block content.
    I just want to make sure I understand, but I think I do.
 * Thanks

 * Hal, thanks for your work! I installed the plugin and created some text. But
   I’m not sure what to do with it…or whether I need to do something else entirely.
   Basically, I just want to insert a text block, on every post that’s category “
   podcast episode”, in between the featured image/video and the audio player below
   it, to say, “Hey, the above is the video, and the below is if you want to just
   stream the audio podcast feed.” So I don’t want to (and can’t) use shortcode
   in each relevant post, but could probably do something with the .php, if I could
   figure out where! I’ve done a *little* bit before with the .php, I’m using my
   own customization of Omega that I named Red Ninja, with a few PHP and CSS tweaks.
   Any help greatly appreciated!!! -Bradford [http://www.TheMultimediaNinja.com](http://www.TheMultimediaNinja.com)
