Support » Fixing WordPress » Excluding the word “Categories” from a wp_list_categories call

  • Hi, I have this code:

    <h4>Top Writing Topics</h4>
    <ul>
    <?php
    wp_list_categories('orderby=count&number=4');
    ?>
    </ul>

    That outputs this:

    <h4>Top Writing Topics</h4>
    <ul>
    <li class="categories">Categories<ul>
        <li class="cat-item cat-item-3"><a href="http://localhost:8888/SBS/wordpress/category/meta/" title="View all posts filed under meta">meta</a>
        </li>
        <li class="cat-item cat-item-1"><a href="http://localhost:8888/SBS/wordpress/category/uncategorized/" title="View all posts filed under Uncategorized">Uncategorized</a>
        </li>

        </ul>
    </li>

    </ul>

    Is there a parameter to pass that makes it not list the “

  • categories
      ….” part? I just want the top 4 categories within list item tags. Thoughts?
