Excluding PF from category widgets

  • Hi,

    I managed to place PF as a text link where I want it by adding it to postinfo.php in my theme files. I used the call up stated in the plugin:

    <?php if(function_exists('pf_show_link')){echo pf_show_link();} ?>

    What I’m wondering is if there is anything I can add to that code to ensure that the PF link ONLY shows up on a full post. I use Category Posts Widget plugin, but that pulls info from the same postinfo.php file, and thus also the PF call up.

    I’d like to suppress that, if possible. I’d like Category Posts Widget to get author info, comments, but not the PF link. Any ideas?

    Thanks so much

  • I did something a bit sneaky to solve this issue: duplicated postinfo.php and renamed it widgetinfo.php, deleted the PF code from that file, and edited theme-widgets.php in my theme files to call on widgetinfo.php instead of postinfo.php
