  • I have pages that I want to not appear on the Navigation bar BUT I only want the Top Level pages to appear as well… I don’t know how to code that…

    I’ve been all over this page and don’t see how to code the list pages that 1) is only top level pages 2) excludes certain page numbers AND
    just to make it fun… I use Permalinks and there are no page numbers anymore.

    To find the page number, I tried a suggestion to hover over the page name in ‘Manage’ >Pages and the number shown at the bottom left status area refers to a post number it looks like, AND that number doesn’t work anyway.

    Any help?

  • 1. depth paramater (read the Docs you linked to)

    2. the exclude parameter works by ID (just as you tried it)

    Bonus: for seeing the IDs, install this plugin:

    Thank you for your reply, and I have tried the following:

    <?php wp_list_pages('sort_column=menu_order&depth=1&title_li= exclude=185,328' ); ?>

    I got the Page ID#’s from the plug in you suggested (thank you!) and believe that I have the parameters right and still the pages show up in Firefox. In Firefox you can see that two pages show up “Testimonials” and “Class” and they are the ones I am trying to supress.

    Any suggestions?
