Support » Fixing WordPress » Excluding Certain Posts from Feedburner

  • I’m converting one of my WP sites to a content portal and am moving a few dozen old posts to my personal WP blog. I don’t want to trigger Feedburner to send out multiple emails to my subscribers when I add the old posts.

Before someone suggests it, I can’t go into Feedburner and ‘pause’ my account. Since the Google migration and near abandonment of Feedburner, I can’t even access my account even though it continues to do mailings.

I know I could temporarily remove the Feedburner link from my dashboard while I add the old posts but I’m not sure that Feedburner won’t start mailing emails about all the posts once it’s added again.

There was a plugin that added the ability to exclude individual posts in this way but it hasn’t been updated in a few years. I know there are also plugins to exclude certain categories from RSS that I could use but I prefer not to create a unique category for these posts due to SEO concerns.

    Any suggestions?
