Excluding a tag from browse/search

Hello, fellow WordPressers!

I can browse the poetry on my WordPress site via /journal/tag/vice-versa to see all posts tagged with “vice versa”, and can narrow the search using /journal/tag/vice-versa+Moon to browse poetry about the Moon (Thus proving I write a lot about the Moon 🙂

I can also search the same via /journal/?s=&tag=vice-versa and /journal/?s=&tag=vice-versa&tag=Moon

I would like to be able to browse or search posts that contain tag(s) and do not contain a certain tag, e.g. “vice versa” AND NOT “nsfw”. I’ve tried as many combinations as I can, as well as searched here and in general but have drawn a blank, as relevant search terms generate quite a lot of noise.

Any suggestions would be warmly welcome.
