Support » Plugin: Autoptimize » Excluded Scripts Also Skip CDN?

  • Resolved smartyp

Just noticed that scripts that are manually excluded also skip the CDN (e.g. JQuery) – is that intentional? Wouldn’t you want all scripts to go via the CDN (if provided), whether or not they are minified/aggregated first by Autoptimise?

correct, this indeed is intentional; excluded scripts are not processed by AO so are not not CDN’ed.

    hope this clarifies,

    It does clarify, thanks 🙂

(Would it make sense to add an option to CDN them? Or rather CDN everything if enabled, and add an exclusion option to CDN?)

You might be better of with a real CDN plugin, that will not only take care of excluded JS/ CSS, but also other types of files which AO ignores? 🙂
