• Although I’ve removed the page ID numbers from the excluded list [Advanced –> Exclude Posts by ID’s (comma separated post ID-s)]; still those particular pages do not show up in search results. I’ve tested this over and over, no luck.

I’ve deleted the website cache AND the browser cache, by the way, to see if that helped, still not showing the pages. I’ve also opened up another browser app and still the same issue is happening (2 browsers I tried: Firefox & Chrome).

Also, I’ve tried various ascending/descending orders for titles and dates (General Options –> Result Ordering). That shouldn’t make a difference though… why would that preclude a page from showing up in search results, especially since I entered its exact title?
Right now the setting is at: Result ordering –> Title Ascending

    Any idea what’s wrong?

So I was still working on it as I typed here and found some sort of solution — not ideal:

I changed the “Max Results” from 10 to 50 (General Setting), but I had to scroll pretty far down to find the search result that related to the page title I was looking for.

Guess what this plugin needs is a “most relevant” option… is that something I can add to the code?

    Hi!

The relevance is part of the sorting algorithm. In fact the search sorts by relevance first, then by title, date or whatever is selected. The relevance weights are hard coded in the lite version, changeable in the pro version.

I can tell you however where, and how to modify these values if you want to.

About the page id issue, that sounds really strange. I will try to reproduce it on test servers, see if I can.
