# Exclude post type "link" from index.php / loop

 * Hi,
 * I am trying to to figure out how to achieve this. It’s a standard install of 
   the latest WP version, and I do not have any custom post types or similar. All
   standard.
 * What I want to do is exclude the “link” post type from my index.php, so that 
   it doesn’t show up in the list of posts on the front page.
 * I only care about the blog standard front page, it doesn’t matter if the posts
   of type link are excluded from the archive pages or search.
 * Can anyone give me an idea of the easiest way to achieve this? A plugin would
   be fine, but I can’t seem to find one.
