I agree. This would be awesome.
Another great feature similar to this would be the ability to choose the exclusion from a custom field!
Ok, here goes…. I put my money (or rather my time) where my mouth is and created a version which includes this feature.
@johnflufin @natostanco would you be willing to test it and let me know whether you find any bugs ? Please mail me [@adviesenzo.nl], so I can send you a copy.
I would love to test your plug-in too, Juliette.
Right now, the Exclude Plugin palette does not appear in my WP 3.5.1 install so I’d love to try any updated version that could work.
@a.Parikh you’ve got mail π
I tested the plugin on a clean WP 3.5.1 install and didn’t encounter any problems, so I hope it’ll work for you too.
@a.Parikh your email provider is refusing .zip attachments….
@a.Parikh and .rar attachments too…
Hey,
I would love to see function like this in bulk actions box. I have just added 128 pages to my blog at once. Now, I don’t want them all in my menu so have to find a way to exclude them somehow (at once). Manually one by one isn’t very time efficient LOL
Andrew
@andrewkar hmm… might look into that at a later point. Would you like a copy of the beta version which has the quick edit for now ? At the very least it’ll be quicker than having to use the full edit for 128 pages… π
Mail me [@adviesenzo.nl], if you’d like a copy.
I would love to try out this plugin as well Juliette, if possible. The Exclude plugin isn’t showing up in my page editor either and I would love to see if this would work.
@kristaspicks Mail me [@adviesenzo.nl] and I’ll send you a copy.
Hi from Russia.
Plugin doesn’t work with pages that have ID over 2000. I create online store with a lot of goods. Then I decided to add a page. As usual I remove a tick in the box marked “Include this page in lists of pages”, but the page does not disappear from the top menu.
ID of this page 2187.
@johnnybravorad Unless you have been testing the new version this thread refers to, please open a new thread. Your issue has nothing to do with the topic being discussed here.
For anyone interested: I’ve uploaded the adjusted plugin to GitHub, so you can download it from there.
