 * Hi there,
 * how can I exclude images from appearing in the google image search result without
   exluding them from regular search?
    I don’t mind them being crawled, indexed 
   and be part of the regular search, I just don’t want the actual images to be 
   shown in google images.

 * Hi,
 * That “No Image Index” tells Google to not index the images on the page. As you
   want the image to appear as a thumbnail in a regular Google Search you will need
   to create a disallow rule in your robots file that specifically targets GoogleBot-
   Image. This rule would tell GoogleBot-Image to not make images appear in a Google
   Image Search.
