# Exclude hashtag

 * Is it possible to exclude a specific hashtag from a search? Showing every tweets
   from a Twitter account except the ones with a specific hashtag?
 * I’m not sure it’s possible but you know better than me. 🙂

 * Yup. Just go with a search term like:
 *     ```
       -#hashtag from:accountname
       ```
   
 * The minus sign tells you to exclude something.

 * I don’t use a ‘from’ but ‘screen_name’ instead:
 * screen_name=’cnn’ -#tech get_favorites=’1′
 * And it doesn’t work… <:)
