# Exclude folder from scan

 * Is there a way to exclude a folder from the scan?
 * We have a content folder with more than a 1,000,000 files, that is more than 
   100Gb of data. This is static data and it just takes to long to scan.

 * Currently there is not though we have an internal ticket for adding this. Keep
   watching and we may add it. While I cannot promise that every suggestion we get
   makes it into a release, or when that might be I can tell you that every suggestion
   we get is evaluated carefully and considered seriously. We value the input we
   get from our customers. A member of our dev team may or may not reach out to

 * ^^Bump – Same issue with a client that has 70,000 images in a directory that 
   we want to exclude from the scan.
 * Please let me know if this becomes available or if there is a work around for
   this.

   path to the options to “[Exclude files from scan that match these wildcard patterns](http://docs.wordfence.com/en/Wordfence_options#Exclude_files_from_scan_that_match_these_wildcard_patterns.)“?
 * I have successfully added paths like **wp-content/cache/\*** or for backupbuddy
   backup zip files.

 * After posting I went back in on that particular clients install and added the
   path exactly where you mentioned and it worked perfectly.
