Is there a way to exclude checking links in posts that are published but set to “visibility: private”?

In the plugin settings I’ve just checked only the option “Published” at “Look for links in”, but this doesn’t seam to do the job.

Besides that, I’m also getting broken link notifications for draft postings, even though the link checking for draft postings is not activated.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks and kind regard

Just to explain what I’m using “published:private” for: I have tons of old news posts that I’d like to keep as a private archive, hence I set them to private once they’re outdated – but then the Link Checker produces also lots of broken link reports for these pages which of course don’t need to be fixed as the posts are not visible publicly anyway …

Okay, to clarify: the “post_status” in the database is “private”, but still Broken Link Checker alerts about broken links in these postings, though in the plugins options only “published” postings are set for link checking.

Please, an ideas how to solve this?

I may have found the solution myself: I’ve just recently changed the status of some postings from “published” to “private”, hence I suppose they’ve already been in the queue …
