The “Exchange the thumbnail with main image on WooCommerce products” is actually a legacy option for the WooCommerce 2.+ version. I need to adapt the plugin to show to option only if WooCommerce 2 is installed.
When the option is enabled, once you click on a thumbnail, the thumbnail and the main image exchange places (the main image is replaced by the thumbnail image, but also the thumbnail image is replaced by the former main image). By default this behavior was not happening with WooCommerce gallery images, which means that the main image was replaced with the thumbnail image, but the thumbnail image was kept the old one.
I’m sorry if this sounds confusing. I’m trying to make it as simple as possible.
The need for this option came from the fact that in WooCommerce 2 the first image was shown as the main image and the rest of the images were shown as thumbnails in the gallery. Some people were not happy that once a user clicks on a thumbnail, the first image is replaced by the thumbnail image and there is no way to find again the first image, except when you refresh the page.
