 * I am constantly getting the following emails from two accounts on cPanel that
   are running WordPress. The only plugins that the accounts have in common are
   Akismet Anti-Spam and Loginizer.
 * Subject:
   lfd on vps.hotns.com: Excessive resource usage: [account_name] (6962(
   Parent PID:74935))
 * Body:
   Time: Fri Feb 17 08:57:45 2023 -0800Account: [account_name]Resource: Virtual
   Memory SizeExceeded: 202 > 200 (MB)Executable: /opt/cpanel/ea-php74/root/usr/
   bin/php-cgiCommand Line: /opt/cpanel/ea-php74/root/usr/bin/php-cgi /home/[account_name]/
   public_html/index.phpPID: 6962 (Parent PID:74935)Killed: No
 * How can I stop the excessive resource usage that causes these emails?

 * 200 MB of memory usage is not excessive.

 * “[As for the virtual memory warning, that is generated by LFD, a 3rd party plugin that is not provided by cPanel. You can increase the _PT\_USERMEM_ setting in the CSF/LFD configuration to raise the level at which the warning is generated.](https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/how-to-increase-virtual-memory-size.673657/#:~:text=As%20for%20the%20virtual%20memory%20warning%2C%20that%20is%20generated%20by%20LFD%2C%20a%203rd%20party%20plugin%20that%20is%20not%20provided%20by%20cPanel.%20You%20can%20increase%20the%20PT_USERMEM%20setting%20in%20the%20CSF/LFD%20configuration%20to%20raise%20the%20level%20at%20which%20the%20warning%20is%20generated.)“
 * To set PT_USERMEM, in WHM:
   1. Search for and click ConfigServer Security & Firewall2.
   Click Firewall Configuration button3. Choose Process Tracking from drop down
   menu4. Scroll down to find and change PT_USERMEM5. Click the Change button at
   the bottom of the page.
