# Excessive load time

 * I’ve noticed that I use P3 to check out which plugins are taking the longest 
   to load. Here are the load times for elements of the site. Plugin Organizer is
   by far and away the slowest load time the next one down is QueryMonitor.
 * WP Core – 0.3253
    Theme – 0.1139 Plugin Organizer – 0.2007 QueryMonitor – .0908
 * Do I have PluginOrganizer configured wrong? Why is it taking so long to load?

 * The more plugin filters and settings you add to plugin organizer the slower it
   is going to load. In p3, plugin organizer includes the standard plugin and the
   mu plugin. So for instance if you have 100 filters set up it will take longer
   to load than if you have 0.

 * If you remove the mu plugin and test your site again you should see the load 
   time decrease for plugin organizer.

 * How do I remove the MU plugin?

 * Go to the plugin organizer settings page and click the manage mu plugin file 
   tab. Then click delete. After your test come back and click copy. That will put
   it back in place.

 * Nevermind, I figured this out. I have a feeling that I need to dump this file
   and replace it every time I update the settings of the plugin. Is that a fair
   statement?

 * No. You got that error because plugin organizer checks to see if the file is 
   in place. You just removed it so it is warning you the file isn’t there anymore.
   You should never need to remove or copy over the mu plugin file unless you want
   to do a test like I was telling you to do.
