I’m using Cron with a booking plugin but it doesn’t seem to work. This is what their support team said: There are some issues with WP Crontrol, and I can’t delete one excess cron job. The next run is being saved for July 20th no matter how I configure them. Something’s causing the issue with the Crontrol plugin, but I can’t say what.

Please reach out to their support team and have them check what’s going on. There should be only one cron for Amelia, and from what I can see, the two crons on top of the list are fine, but you do need to delete one as having multiple crons for a single purpose may cause issues.

    Could you please advise?
    Thanks in advance

It sounds like the plugin might be re-adding the event after it’s deleted. You might want to try deactivating the plugin, deleting all of its cron events, then reactivating the plugin.

I’ve added quite a few answers in the plugin FAQ for this, along with links to the WP Crontrol wiki where I’ve added some more info. Take a look and hopefully that info will help you if not.

Thank you. How would I go about deleting all cron events after deactivating? It doesn’t show cron events if it’s not activated?

I meant deactivate the booking plugin you’re using. If it leaves cron events behind then you can delete them and reactivate the booking plugin and it should recreate them without the duplicates.

Even when I deactivate the booking plugin, the cron events behind them can’t be deleted. I think that’s why the booking plugin support team referred me here.

Sorry then I don’t know what the problem is. If the cron event can’t be deleted then the problem may lie elsewhere.
