Excerpt vs Full Text

I am not sure how the Excerpt is meant to work (or what Content Filters are generally).

What I would like is for the Excerpt to appear in the Admin Panel, and the full body to appear in the Help Tab and the Instruction Manual.

At the moment I am accomplishing this by disabling excerpts and creating two notes – one for the Admin Panel and one for the Help Tab, but that is a pain to create and maintain.

Is there some way I can get this functionality, or can you put it as a suggested new feature – possibly some checkboxes in the settings panel.

(To be even better, in the Dashboard I would like to see the Excerpt with a link to the instruction manual to see the full post – but that would just be a nice to have).
