# Excerpt SQUASHED – Please Help

 * On my category pages i have excerpt showing which is what i want but there are
   2 problems
 * 1 My excerpt is squashed up what i mean by that is instead of displaying my excerpt
   like this
 * “Excellent Game that is a favourite with many you have to defend the allies from
   the onslaught of Europe”
    ** Its displaying it like this
 * “Excellent Game that is a
    favourite with many you have to defend the allies 
   from the onslaught of Europe”
 * I have no clue why
 * As soon as i change it back to not be excerpt and have it display full content
   it flows across the screen
 * 2. Next problem is.. I have it set in options>reading to 1 post to display and
   thats what i want for the front of my homepage but not for my category archive
   i want around 5 ot 10 listed there. how do i change that, and where?

   to your blog or, worse case, the name of the theme, how could anyone see it to
   offer suggestions?
