# Excerpt Length Issues

 * Hi –
 * I’m having issues with excerpt lengths with ellipses differing per posts.
 * Some posts have a character count of 256 and is getting ellipsed out after the
   256th character. However, I see that another excerpt post has 280 characters 
   without any ellipses…
 * I’ve set the excerpt post character limit to 400…
 * Can I get some help here?

 * My excerpts are looking like this:
 * “Lorem ipsum blah blah blah […]”.
 * Is that ending ellipse “[…]” being created by the plugin?

 * Our plugin excerpt end with “Read more.”
