# Excerpt Is Repeating

 * I was using the custom excerpt box under the post, and now it seems to be repeating
   itself on the main page for every post. how do i get this to stop without going
   through and deleting every custom post?

 * Hi,
 * It seems that your theme is also designed with the_excerpt and you are doing 
   with custom excerpt so it is causing the issue. Now, edit the index.php file 
   of your theme and find the_excerpt and change it to the_contents().

 * that just puts the whole post in where the excerpt should be. the custom excerpt
   used to override anything else, but now it’s repeating.

 * downloaded better excerpt plugin and set the length to 0 and that seemed to fix
   it 🙂 thanks!
