 * Is it possible to change the home page first post to appear as a full post (or
   half post) and the rest to be excerpt posts?

 * Possible – yes but it would require creating a child theme and editing .php files
   directly. But since you’re not the first person to ask for this I’m thinking 
   about introducing this as an option in the next update.
