I’m using the plugin “appointments” which works a bit “too” well. On certain days I need to create an exception (such as a holiday, when we’re closed, or a day when the instructor is not available so the class is canceled). I entered the date in the exceptions box correctly (I used the calendar that automatically pops up) but it doesn’t “take.” Visitors to my website are still able to make appointments for that day. Help!

    Hi @engqulo,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

Could you please share me the screenshot of your Appointments Working Hours and Exceptions settings so that i can troubleshoot it?

For screenshots, you can simply provide a link to an image through Google Drive, Dropbox, screencast.com, http://imgur.com/ or other image service. 🙂

Also if you can please share me the appointment page link so that i can test it.

    Kind Regards,
    WPMU DEV

    Hey there ABuiza,

    Hope you’re well today!

Could you please add more information on the issue so we can better understand what you’re dealing with and try to replicate this and help you faster.

What are you trying to achieve? How are you adding the exception dates? Also as previously suggested could you share me the screenshot of your Appointments Working Hours and Exceptions settings?

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Hi WPMU DEV,

Thanks for your reply and sorry for the long delay in responding. I noticed that another user mentioned the same problem recently so I was motivated to respond.

When I return home I will try to upload the screen shots on Google Drive (cannot do this now because I am at work — Google Drive is blocked!). But don’t I need to know your email address in order for you to access them on Google Drive? Wouldn’t it be easier if I just emailed you the screen shots? I saved them as .png files.

The first screen shot shows that “boxing” appointments are available Tuesdays at 7:30 pm (19:30 in 24-hour time format).

The second screen shot shows how I’ve entered the exception (boxing appointment NOT available on April 7, 2015).

The third and final screen shot shows that when I pretend to be making an appointment for boxing class, April 7, 2015 is still available.

Let me know if you need any additional information. Again, thanks for your help.

    Hey there Lorin,

Google drive was just an example, I’m not exactly sure how that works since I do not use it personally but you can use any other services mentioned such as screencast.com or http://imgur.com/.

Additionally could you please link to your appointment page.

    Best regards,
    Bojan

Here is a link to an appointment page. I pretented I was going to make an appointment for 50 Shades of Boxing on April 7, 2015 at 7:30 pm.

    Hey again Lorin,

I’ve tested this on my end and everything is working fine. As you can see on this screenshot I’ve set Working Hours only to mondays http://screencast.com/t/Mrxx5SLHD5. After that I’ve set in Exceptions that 30th is not a working day http://screencast.com/t/0V0YiKMFt.

When appointment calendar is viewed 30th of March is not available for appointments http://screencast.com/t/4q46LZmJ5rR.

I’d really like to see screenshots of working hours and exceptions.

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Hey again engqulo,

Everything looks fine in those settings. Could you please try adding worker ID to the services shorctode for that specific page, something like this:

    [app_services worker="1"]

You can check the ID by hovering on the user that is service provider in Users in your admin panel http://screencast.com/t/XliXpHKsg.

If that does’t work could you please post the appointment shortcodes that you’re using for that specific page?

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Best regards,
    Bojan
