Excellent plugin for a concise product catalogue

I have been looking around for a simple product catalogue for a customer’s new website and tried a couple of other plugins, they were either too complex or I felt you always needed the Pro versions to get what I wanted. I tried WordPress Product Showcase Plugin and the thing that really did it for me was I wanted to display some of the product description on the product gallery using the short code for the homepage and I contacted the developer with a few hours he had done what I asked and said it will put that function in the next release – how cool is that?
I’m very happy I have chosen this plugin and just having specialist help from the developer makes a huge difference to achieving the results I wanted.
It looks like good code as I can adjust things easily in css to tailor the look I want.
