    I think this is a very good SMTP plugin.

    1) When doing connectivity tests all possible port/protocol options are shown – you can take your pick
    2) Built in email log with detail information in case something isn’t working
    3) Chrome extension to show email problems even if you aren’t logged into your WordPress site.

    I recommend this plugin
