•
This plugin works flawlessly on MailPoet 2. I have about 9 User Roles I created in User Role Editor plugin. My blog site is designed to post to specific categories – each user role would get a specific category – so I need this plugin to work on MailPoet 3 when it rolls out in September!

UPDATE: This plugin does NOT work with MailPoet 3.

UpdateV2: This plugin can be deactivated. Use the MailPoet 3 Segments to create lists that sync with WordPress user roles. Hope this helps someone!

Hi @jhennahane, thanks for the feedback.

As far as I’m aware (I was told), MP 3 would have this feature, which is why I made this plugin at the time given v3 was far away from completion and it wasn’t available in v2 at the time I needed it myself.

I haven’t used v3 yet, did they not add this in the end?

Can you please configure this plugin to work with MailPoet 3 as well considering the information below?

Here is the communication I received from MailPoet regarding MP3:

Question: Will Mailpoet ever incorporate a feature like creating subscriber lists based on WordPress role?
    – Yes, absolutely. I’m personally the biggest advocate for such a feature in MailPoet 3. However, we have no ETA for that yet.

    Also this:
See the email attached from the creator of the “User Role Sync for Mailpoet” author, Maruc Sykes.

“We are probably adding this, but in the future, for now, it’s not a priority.

Yes, we’ll continue supporting our MailPoet 2 Premium users for a while after MP3 has been released.”

Unfortunately at the moment, I am not using MailPoet for my projects and do not have time to take this on as a side project for the time being.

If there’s anyone out there that’d like to develop this further for MP3 compatibility, that’d be welcome.
