    what is the best way to show data on a website ?

    use an excel file and put that on the website
    or

    import the data in the wp database and then put that on the website

    It depends on your need and business Login.

    An ideal approach would be to keep on Website, so everything can be managed from one place.

    There are many useful plugins available through which you can enter data via Admin and show that on Frontend.

    Note: This is just a suggestion. You can take your decision based on your need.
