Support » Plugin: Hustle - Pop-Ups, Slide-ins and Email Opt-ins » Exceedingly slow website

  • Resolved sarumbear

All of my sites that were using Hustle started to load exceedingly slow (40+ seconds). I have disabled WP-Rocket as cache or minify may be the cause but still very slow. I disabled all plugins and only left Hustle active. Site was still slow.

Is there a reason for this? Has anyone experience(d) this behavior?

    Hello there @sarumbear,

    hope you’re doing well!

This sounds strange… are you using Tracking in any of your popups? If so, can you try to deactivate and see if there’s a difference in page speed? Please advise!

    Thank you,

I do t know what tracking is but just look at the following site. See how ridiculously slow it is. It is fast when I disable Hustle.

    Hello @sarumbear,

I’m sorry for not being clear, here’s how to see if tracking is enabled. This is a feature used to track conversions.

Let me know if you’re using this feature, cause I only see a very long waiting Time To First Byte, which seems more like a caching issue than a Hustle one.

    Thank you,

I have not enabled tracking and I am not using any caching plugins. Here is the list of the active plugins. The theme is Divi.

    Classic Editor
    Contact Form 7
    Elegant Themes Updater
    GDPR Cookie Consent
Sucuri Security – Auditing, Malware Scanner and Hardening
    Wordfence Security
    Yoast SEO

Just in case you blame the server, 1) site speed is increased ten fold when I disable Hustle and 2) here is a site that is running on the same server that is also not using a cache plugin.

You can see the speed difference. All I can see is that it is Hustle that is slowing the site.
