 * I would like to examine one or more of my mySQL db backups. How do I do that?
 * I know how to look at my current/active db using phpMyAdmin, but I don’t know
if I can navigate to a backup and look at it or, if that is possible, how to
   do it.
 * Can anyone help? Is phpMyAdmin the right tool or should I use something else?
   etc

 * How are your backups made, and where are they stored? If they are .sql files,
you can examine them with any text editor.
