    Hello,

So far I got EWWW WebP conversion working on my site for the core content without any problems. But when I check my network tab within google chrome. I can see that anything that is written in CSS such as background images remains as their default .jpg or .png. Does EWWW have the ability to dive into CSS to make the image changes?

    Thanks again.

If you’re using the Alt WebP option, then the answer is no. There’s no way to modify your css files on-the-fly, but I have seen some tutorials in the past that describe what modifications you need to make to your css, so I know the possibility is out there for you to do that manually.

If you’re using the .htaccess rules, then it is a different story, but you’ve probably already discovered that those don’t work well with CDNs and proxy servers.

Hey thanks for the the response. I was able to find an alternative trick to get my CSS to use WebP . Sorry I’m getting back so late to you as wordpress did not inform me there was a reply.
