On checkout, customers are UNABLE to enter credit card details in to the CC Field?

On support suggestion, we have also reset the eWay API and then re entered new settings in to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > eWAY

That has not fixed the problem. We need urgent help to resolve.

    Hi there @paulsmithwsc,

    > On checkout, customers are UNABLE to enter credit card details in to the CC Field?

I went to your site and noticed that I can type in eWAY CC fields without any issues:

Looks like you fixed it already, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Hi there @paulsmithwsc,

    Thank you for your reply!

This is interesting! Your link doesn’t let me view the content, but can you please provide me with the exact replication steps? What browser do you use?

Sorry about closing the thread prematurely, I still can type in CC fields on your checkout page so let’s look into why I get different results than you.

I am encountering the issue described in the title of this support request.

The site I am running uses a plugin called AddressFinder to autocomplete the customer address during checkout.

With certain addresses, the length of the value returned to the Street1 field is too long for the eWay API. No warning is generated, but when you click through to the payment page, there is no credit card payment block. If you click the Back button, you will see a warning stating:

Invalid Customer Street1: Please check your eWAY API key and password.

I have replicated this on the website provided by the original poster, so it appears to be the same issue, and is unrelated to AddressFinder being in place.

A workaround could be to show a message to the customer if the Street1 field is longer than 50 characters, and prompt them to edit the address. This may be difficult if AddressFinder tries to repopulate the fields after that, although my initial testing indicates that this doesn’t happen.

    Hi there @millionleaves,

Can you please open a separate thread for your issue so we can look into it further?

    Cheers!

I have added a new issue here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/eway-credit-card-fields-dont-appear-when-street-address-longer-than-50-chars/

Providing the link here so anyone finding/following this thread can click through to the new issue.

I think I just found a cause for it.
Customer complained about same. It seems problem happens due to currency.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Switch currency to something else (in my case I am in Australia and try to buy as New Zealand customer using NZD)

    2. Attempt to complete purchase using address from same country which currency you use (not sure if this is relevant, but this is what I did)

    3. Problem is there!

Workaround — go to WooCommerce option -> Currency Switcher. Make sure you enabled option that reverts currency to default on checkout. Then all seem to be fine.

    Hi @rudolfl,

Thank you for sharing! It seems like your case is unique for sites using Currency Switcher, so it’s definitely going to be useful in the same configurations.

    Cheers!
