Hi, I hope someone can help.

I recently upgraded the theme and I cannot find a way to stop the width of the parallax slider changing. It used to just cut off the image or resize them which was fine (WayBackMachine archive here:

(I preferred the font colours and button back then too, but I think I know how to fix that).

I tried changing all the images to the same height and reuploading them, but it didn’t work for some reason. Although all the images are nnn x 434 pixels, it still doesn’t work.

I can’t spot any general settings that would regulate this.

    Any help or advice welcome.

    Thanks 🙂

the effect is because the Parallax Slider used different styling and different plugin for the slider. It also used overflow hidden and specified exact height, which was not the best solution for the responsiveness. Now it uses Bootstrap Carousel which use the image height as the slider height. The slider image width is also set max 50% of the width of the slider. For best effect I would recommend images of same ratio. Doesn’t matter the size, just keep the same image ratio, otherwise, the slider will always auto size the height of the slide.

Thanks for the help romik84, much appreciated 🙂

Adjusting the ratio seems to fix it mostly, but the height of the slider section is still changing, although I have checked and they are all 400 high.

First I tried cropping them all using a fixed ratio (in IrfanView), but that did not work.

Then I adjusted the height to be the same (while keeping proportions). But there is still a problem…

Are you able to tell me what I am doing wrong?

Just this image still doesn’t use same ratio like others . Once you correct this image ratio, it will work perfectly 😉

    Thanks you were right!

You were very helpful, this has been bothering me a lot.
