# Everything’s gone

 * All posts and commentary have been wiped out. I suspect this is a matter of someone
   hacking the dashboard and simply cleaning us out. I’m hoping that assumption 
   is untrue and that this is some wordpress glitch. The tags and categories are
   still there.

   What did you do–upgrade?, change hosts?, move the site?…

 * So far as I know this just “happened.” We haven’t changed hosts or upgraded or
   moved the site.

 * Did you install a plugin? If so, see the following video for directions on how
   to deactivate the plugins via phpMyAdmin.

 * So far as I know no plugin was recently installed. There are four of us blogging
   there and I’m waiting to hear back from one author (two of us are in the states
   the other two in Japan so theres a bitof an information lag due to time zones.)
   Until I hear from him I can’t definitively say. Let’s presume no changes were
   made, is there a reasonable explanation for this beyond some second party maleficence?

 * I would presume just the opposite. You are running WP 2.8.2…this means you have
   upgraded to the latest version very recently. You are running at least one incompatible
   plugin (audio player).
 * If you follow the directions in the video and disable the plugins, then chances
   are, you will clear the problem.

 * figaro, thanks much for your time and patience. As it turns out this was a database
   issue and has since been [rectified](http://comingnarchy.com). Indeed it would
   appear it had nothing to do with the WordPress platform.
