 * I’m helping family with this website. I’ve used WooCommerce dozens of times before,
   and never have encountered this issues. Everything was working well until a few
   days ago a friend/customer went through the purchase process and gave some feedback
   about the font looking different, and a few things looking off on mobile. When
   I went to take a look at the html through the Inspect option on Google, everything
   in the WooCommerce-related pages is surrounded by a code tag.
 * We deactivated all the plugins except for WooCommerce, checked the HTML, code
   tags were still around every element in the WooCommerce pages.
 * I added a temporary CSS fix to make the font look normal, but that’s really just
   as cosmetic fix. I don’t know what other issues this could be causing.
 * An easier way to see the problem is via this video:

 * Hi [@saraobando](https://wordpress.org/support/users/saraobando/),
 * Thanks for the detailed explanation. The `<code>...</code>`is not coming from
   WooCommerce. I’m running the Storefront theme but I’m not experiencing the same.
   So, some digging will be required to find the source on this site.
 * Looking at it, there are 3 things you’ll want to look at.
    1. Seems that the
   CSS explicitly targeting the code element is coming from the file `siteground-
   optimizer-combined-css-.....css`. You’ll want to check if disabling the SG Optimizer
   plugin helps. 2. It also seems that the page has been built using Beaver Builder.
   So, you could check if they modified these fields using the builder. 3. If none
   of the above are the cause, you could try following the same steps of a [conflict test](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/),
   not because there’s a conflict but rather to find out if it’s something else
   causing the issue,i.e, your theme or another plugin.
 * Let us know how it goes.
    Thanks.

 * Sorry, pretty busy week and I wasn’t able to check on this again until now!
 * We tried disabling everything, including the SG Optimizer, Beaver Builder, and
   changing to a default WordPress theme. The only thing that was still enabled
   was the main WooCommerce plugin. It still showed up with the code brackets.
 * What throws me off the most is that I’ve used this exact setup, Generate Press
   Theme + Beaver Builder + WooCommerce, with multiple eCommerce pages, and I’ve
   never had this issue before.

 * Hi [@saraobando](https://wordpress.org/support/users/saraobando/),
 * Thanks for getting back.
 * As far as I can see the `<code>...</code>` tags have been added by SiteGround’s
   SG Optimizer. This plugin includes features to add or remove HTML output of a
   site in order to improve the loading speed and is provisioned with settings for
   general front end optimization.
 * Therefore, I would strongly suggest reaching out to the help desk department
   at SG Optimizer who may have more details on this.
 * Thanks.
