Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » Every one of my blog posts has alternate URL with “/embed/” at the end?

  • Resolved Ronnie55

    Long-time Yoast user here. I noticed just now that for each blog post, there’s a duplicate page that loads if you enter /embed/ after a URL.

    Is a Yoast setting causing this? Should I be concerned, in terms of duplicate content and SEO?

    Or is this duplicate page set to no-index automatically by Yoast?

    Just curious what it’s there for and whether to be concerned.

    Hi @ronnie55,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    While we can’t be sure as we can’t check your site, we believe you are referring to the WordPress core feed functionality. This means that every post or page has a feed alternative. Taking the homepage as an example, you would see something in the lines of:

    <link rel="alternate" type="application/json+oembed" href="" />
    <link rel="alternate" type="text/xml+oembed" href="" />

    This is just normal WordPress behavior and is nothing to be concerned about.
