Ever had a conflict with post-authoring pages?

Admittedly I’ve been mucking around with unrelated fixes to other plugins, but just when I thought I’d nailed everything down, something about WP User Avatar is bumping into something else and breaking my ability to access some admin pages, specifically my post list and post-editing pages.

I doubt it’s a WP User Avatar problem, but in case you’ve come across the same thing during the process of turning lots of other plugins on and off while troubleshooting something unrelated, I’m curious what a fix might be.
