Support » Plugin: Events Manager » events_calendar day with multiple events url uses location not location_id

  • Resolved Tom Macauley

    events manager 5.6.5

I have a wordpress page with shortcode:
    [events_calendar location=”4″]

I have two events at this location on the same calendar day. The hover text for the day shows both events comma-separated, as expected. Days with one event provide a URL link directly to the event.

The eventful td href URL provided as the link for the multiple-event day provides link search string with “?location=4” instead of a valid search string “?location_id=4”. The provided link for the day with multiple events for the location therefore yields a 404 error. Manually entering the string with “location_id” generates a page with both events listed correctly.

I cannot find a workaround like using post_id or location slug name.
I cannot find in the code where the plugin generates the URL as if to fix this myself or suggest a change.

I get this too. I’ve passed this along to the Dev team as a bug report.

Hi, thanks for reporting this. I can confirm that it’ll be fixed in the next update which should be out in the coming days.

This issue has now been fixed in the new version of Events Manager released today.

Searched the forums to no avail. This is the closest forum topic I can find to my problem with Events Manager. It won’t allow me to start a new thread. I have the latest version of EM.

I have two instances where two events occur on the same date. When I click on the calendar dates for them, a “No Results Found” error is returned. Here’s the URL it takes me to from the calendar: The event page URLs are as follows: and
    Any suggestions?

Yes, try resaving your permalink settings, via WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks. Just click ‘save settings’ and it should start working.

I don’t think this is related to the issue above. I’m not sure why you’re not able to add new topics, that’s odd, given you’re able to reply to one….

Well, it had set up a new thread after all. The discussion has moved here: /multiple-events-on-same-day-returns-no-events-found/#post-8961936.
