So this is the most insane thing ever. Don’t know if it will work for you but in order to get my events to save (we were having the same exact problem) I had to add in an organizer when adding/updating the event. Now everything magically works again.
@lauramartin Ohh yeah we have a report of a customer having that same problem, but I didn’t think it was connected, I will debug that tomorrow with some of the other devs so we can figure out why that is happening. It might be some change behind the scenes on the latest version of WordPress that created that issue.
Likely our fault for not adhering to some standard but I will track it down.
I am glad at least you found a temporary fix.
In my case, I have already detected the problem: events are not created when the classic editor is activated in the plugin
Advanced Editor Tools (previously TinyMCE Advanced). With the block editor there is no problem.
Unfortunately, adding an organizer didn’t help. Changing the plugin options to the block editor did not help, this option was still selected and there is still the old text editor.
It works! It was enough to turn off the event plug and turn it on again. And before that, I unchecked the option in the plugin settings, the option to display the block editor. Perhaps just turning the plug back on helped.
I just turned off the Block Editor in settings and it fixed my issue.
@ewela I think the problem for you want related to permalinks not being saved, but I am not 100% sure just yet. Glad to hear it was fixed for you.
@ajeffcoat Knowing the Block Editor was the source is super helpful I logged a ticket internally for us to fix. We already have a dev working on it.
@josan06 Will make sure to look into that as well.
I checked again and unfortunately the event date editing does not work. It also cannot be changed to the block editor, there is an old text editor.
Hi @ewela @ajeffcoat @josan06,
I have a fix for the problem that will be released on our next version.
