Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Events tags and categories: NOT to show

  • Hello, I’d like the events tags (and actually categories, as well) NOT to show in the event page.
    You suggested to use:
    .tribe-event-tags {
    display: none;
    }

    But I don’t know where I should put this. I tried to put it in the “the-events-calendar/the-events-calendar.php” file, which is the only one regarding this plugin which is ACTIVE, but it doesn’t work and results in an error.

    Could you please help?
    thanks, Lucia

  • Hey Lucia,

    Depending on how in-depth your theme author is, you might have an options panel called ‘CSS’ or something of that nature where you can include the code provided in your initial post. That should hide the tags from displaying. Another route would be to add it to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file – though ideally you have a child theme with a style.css file you can save it to avoid losing customizations when updating your theme.

    More info can be found here. YouTube videos are also very valuable! I hope this helps and best of luck. Cheers!

    Hi, thanks for your reply. I managed to copy the css code provided into the right place. Actually, what happens is that, in the event page, I see:
    “Event Tags: ”
    meaning that the title is still there, but I don’t see the name of the categories.

    Is there a way NOT to display the entire row of “Events Tags” and “Event Category”? It is not nice to see a title and then nothing after it. It would be better not to see those lines and only see, for example:

    Details

    Start:
    12 September
    End:
    15 September
    Website:
    http://www.xxx.com

    thanks again,
    Lucia
