I currently have my events at website.com/events/eventname. Is there any way to set it so the events are at events.website.com/eventname?

I think you are not quite sure of was this question actually means…
A sub domain is as the name already states: a different domain (different website).

A sub domain is technically very different from a sub directory! It is not a matter “just moving the event pages”. You would have to change WordPress to a MultiSite installation, all data will be saved in their own (operate) tables.

So if you want to maintain the events from your current site, the answer is no.

    Hello,

Events Manager are based on where your WordPress Installation is set-up. If your WordPress is at the main domain then the Events Manager would on the main domain also.

One method to Achieve this is to have a WordPress MultiSite and Install Events Manager to the sub-domain

Another method is create a new WordPress Installation on that sub-domain and Install Events Manager there.
