Events page selector not working

First of all, great plugin!

Not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but regardless of what page I choose for the Events page (in the Events admin page), EME uses “Events” as the events page. In other words, all of the event urls have the form /events/orality-in-james-joyce-conference, for example.

Again, maybe I don’t understand how this works. Apologies if that is the case.
