Events Page CONTENTS: description still missing

I have an Events Page. I can see my events page and the two events I created with the search box. My new events are posts and look good when I click through.

So, I click to edit the Event page and I get the message: This page corresponds to the Events Manager Events page. Its content will be overriden by Events Manager, although if you include the word CONTENTS (exactly in capitals) and surround it with other text, only CONTENTS will be overwritten. If you want to change the way your events look, go to the settings page.

Well, I have added a description and it’s got CONTENTS in the middle. I still can’t see the description. It’s overwriting everything. What am I missing.

Interestingly, the description hasn’t been lost. You can see it when you go to edit the page. It just doesn’t show up on the site….

Is the word CONTENTS on a line on its own? That could be the problem.

I’ve done that but it doesn’t make any difference.

Can post a link to a screenshot of what you see? Or tell us – are you see the the CONTENTS, an event list but not the additional content you’ve added? Or something else? Thanks.

Note: I opened the page Events on my menu and did the screenshot. I then clicked edit from the dashboard and did the screenshot of the result. So, there is no chance they are not related pages.

Summary: Only seeing the event list, not contents/ description.

CONTENTS is in the middle of a paragraph, not a line on it’s own.

I’m slightly confused about whether you’ve tried with CONTENTS on a line to itself. If not, give it a try.

It would also be worth switching away from the Visual editor to the Text editor to be sure there isn’t a problem being caused with the Visual editor.

Does it work correctly with the default WordPress theme? There could be a problem with the way your theme is processing page content.

No, none of those work.

To confirm I switched themes twice to wordpress twenty twelve and twenty fourteen. I tested pages from text editor with CONTENTS both in line and on a separate line.

Should I re-install?…I was hoping not to lose event pages.

I uninstalled and re-installed the plug-in and still have the same result.

Aah, shoo! I have found the problem and it’s very unfortunate. Your plugin clashes with Paid Membership Pro plugin (which is an essential ingredient of my theme package!).

Is there any possible remedy?

sorry haven’t tried that plugin before however maybe you can check with your theme provider for support on custom post type.
