An events page has been set in Events Manager settings.
Also the permalinks have been reset (just in case).
However, when visiting that events page, the page title is shown and everything else around it (from theme, sidebar, etc), but no events are listed.
There are events with start date in the future, so even in the case that events in the past are excluded, there must be at least one event shown on that page, but there isn’t.

Thanks for the help in advance!

do you have sample link to your site with this issue for us to see? also, did you already tried changing event scope under events > settings > pages > event list/archives ?

@angelo_nwl: When adding a shortcode for listing the events to that page designated as events page, the events are listed.

I am a bit confused with the difference between events page and events archive.
Events page is disabled, I still get a warning/notice that I can disable, while archives page is enabled, as the events should be listed in a normal WordPress archive.

When adding a shortcode for listing the events to that page designated as events page, the events are listed.

That would indicate that a different page has been selected as the Events Page. EM only overwrites that particular page without the use for shortcodes.

Please check: Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives > Events page.

    Events page is disabled

Oooh… that is why nothing is shown without a shortcode! 🙂

I am a bit confused with the difference between events page and events archive.

The difference is actually quite simple. The Events Page is a normal WP post that uses the default page/post template file from your theme (depending on your EM settings). Since it’s editable you can add additional texts, graphics, etc to the events list to spice it up.
The events list itself is usually used to display the upcoming events and automatically inserted on the page where “CONTENTS” is placed.

An Event Archive Page is (just like a WordPress archive) an automatically generated list of past events. I, for one, have achieves disabled, as I have no need to show the past events to my visitors. 🙂
