    Hi
Loco Translate doesn’t work properly when Events Manager Plugin is activated. (I don’t want to translate Events Manager, but another plugin.)

The error is described in this thread:
    https://localise.biz/help/wordpress/translate-plugin/faqs#parseerror
See at “Why do I get “Unexpected token” or “syntax error” when I try to save?”. I followed the instructions, and it turned out that disabling the Events Manager plugin does the job.

    The exact error message is:
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: end of data after property value in object at line 2 column 96 of the JSON data

I write this post since I don’t ilke to disable Events Manager. Hopefully this is something you can debug in the Events Manager plugin.

    Regards
    Manuel

    followup:
I deactivated the plugin to be able to work with Loco Translate.
Later when I re-actived the plugin I got the following error message:
The plugin generated 2 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
I’m using Events Manager 5.6.2. and WP Version 4.4.2.

At the moment Events Manager doesn’t officially support Loco Translate.

That said, there shouldn’t be any errors when activating Events Manager. Have any of the plugin files been edited?

I might be possible that I tried once to edit an Events Manager file and probably messed up something.
Is it possible to uninstall and re-install the Events Manager plugin without loosing the settings and events?

Yes, try uninstalling, removing all the plugin files (you may have an error in one of these files if you edited it), then reinstalling the plugin and re-activating.

Your previous database settings will be still there.

Did that and it worked fine.
    The error has gone.
And all settings and events are still there.
    Thanks!
